Mailchimp provide us with data about how our subscribers engage with our Mama Loving Mail. They place single pixel gifs, also known as web beacons, in the emails that they send on our behalf. They describe these as follows: "These are tiny graphic files that contain unique identifiers that enable us and our users to recognize when their subscribers have opened an email or clicked certain links. These technologies record each subscribers email address, IP address, date, and time associated with each open and click for a campaign." Mailchimp use this data to create reports for us about how our emails were received and any actions taken by subscribers.
If you wish to avoid cookies, your internet browser may provide the means to disallow these. Doing so may affect your experience of the functionality of the Story of Mum website.
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
Our servers are provided by Blue Earth, who provide the following information on their security. Blue Earth's dedicated server is hosted in London with Rapidswitch. Their security information can be found here. Blue Earth's access to the server is encrypted and secure. The server uses a jailed system, meaning if there is data breach on one account, it would not affect other accounts on the same server. The server is monitored 24/7 for unusual activity.
