Take ten minutes to craft a simple paper angel or star. Use it to capture your wishes for the coming year; or to remember the things that you are grateful for.
We love to make these as a family every year and hang them on our Christmas tree. We've also made Gratitude Angels at our retreats, as well as making them with classes of kids in my son's school!

Dream big, and remember how lucky we already are.
Follow the instructions for making a Wishing Angel (or star) in the pictures below or read the full instructions for making the paper decorations by clicking here. If you want to make a Gratitude Angel instead, simply use the wings to capture things that you are grateful for instead of things you wish for. And you don't have to make them for your Christmas tree, they look lovely any time of the year!
What do you hope for this coming year? For you, for your family, at home, at work? These might be particular qualities you hope to embrace, or specific actions you want to achieve. Whatever feels right for you.
Next year, when the decorations come out again, you'll have a chance to revisit your wishes. And remember what it felt like to be you, right now, as you quietly sat, created, and wished.
To share a photo of your angel or star, click on 'join in' above. You'll see an upload area for your photo, and a text box to share your wishes, if you want to.
